We all remember the
attack on that day
With smoke in the air that colored it gray.
And now we all
stand as proud as could be
With my daddy out there protecting me.
He is one of the
men who was called away
To protect our freedom from harm's way.
I sit here today
and reflect on that terrible day
And know that the attack is the reason my daddy
went away.
It hurts to know
that he's far from me
But I'm proud to know he's keeping us free.
When he comes home
he'll be proud to say,
"I served this country until this day."
I'm proud of my
daddy as he is of me
To be fighting for our country!
